Summit Christian Academy offers a traditional approach to education and uses texts from A Beka Books, Bob Jones University Press, Positive Action for Christ and Lifeway extensively throughout all grades. These materials come from a distinctly Christian perspective. In addition to these materials SCA uses Saxon mathematics for math instruction, Houghton Mifflin for some Elementary language arts instruction, Zaner Bloser for handwriting, and Sadlier-Oxford for vocabulary.
In the elementary, regular class instruction is supplemented with physical education classes, choir and music classes and art.

** Acceptance into the Junior and Senior High choral program is by audition. It is up to the director’s discretion whether a student will be placed in choir or private voice lessons. Voice lessons are a one-on-one lesson that meets once a week and fulfills all the mandates for the Fine Arts requirement. Students must be placed in voice lessons by the director and cannot opt out of choir to take private voice lessons without permission from the Music Director.
Electives
Each year, Summit Christian Academy strives to offer increased educational value through academic electives. Electives may include, but are not limited to, online courses, dual credit courses, or traditional classes.
